When we are thinking about the great philosopher Plato, we are thinking about the man who established the Academy of Athens. And we might remember that this man was a traveler. He traveled in many places in his life and wrote many texts and books, which still is very respected thoughts about the state and other things. When we are looking at the books or series of books, we are facing the thing, that there were lots of texts. If we want to use criticism we must notice that the model of the ideal state is rising the kings in the very high position, and the thing would flatter the kings.
And sometimes I have thought that maybe that famous model of the ideal state is written by somebody else. The thing is that the model, where the philosophers rule the state behind the lines of soldiers could be written for the persons like Justinian, who was really flattered. The thing is that this kind of writings was meant for flatter the rulers, who would not persecute philosophers, even they had different opinions that the king has. There are other books that are written by this man. He was really productive and there is lots of text, what Plato made or claimed to make.
And in that case, we must remember, that this man wrote by using the pencil or pen, and that meant that he had lots of free time. Then we must remember another thing, and that is Plato moved all the time, that meant something, and I think that this man was really afraid of something. He was really scared, and then the thing what might cause the fear was the story of Atlantis, what he heard from the Egyptian priest.
Or was he an eavesdropper, who heard something, what those men wanted to keep secret. That meant that Plato talked and understood the speech of the priests, and in some theories is claimed that Plato was some kind of whistleblower, who probably attended the school of priests, but then flee away when he heard the thing, what was not meant in his ears.
Then we must ask some questions about Plato's writings, and one of them is, did that man publish anything during his life. Or was the notes found after this man was dead? And how many of those texts were actually written by Plato? When we are thinking about his famous academy, the main question is, was Plato really taught in that place himself, or were there people who read the text, what is written by that man?
The other thing about the fear is that Plato was not an only philosopher, who was a little bit different than others. Diogenes lived in the wine barrel, and the reason for that was maybe that this man had no home or house, and he must live in the wine barrel. But otherwise, I have sometimes thought that did that man afraid something? The thing that this man lived in that barrel, was caused because he was afraid to be in the house. And that was the reason, why he stayed in front of every people eye because the public eye protected him against violence.
And at least the thing, what fear causes are the interesting confessions. The serial killer Henry Lee Lucas confessed over 3000 murders, and his lover Ottis Toole confessed the murder of children. And the thing, what might cause those confessions. They were so afraid or clever, that they wanted to make those confessions because they were kept him in the Death row, what could protect those men from the more painful death than the deadly injection.
Here we must say that heavy drinking and the thing that person is moving all the time are telling about fear. And when we are thinking about Alexander the Great we must notice that this person might afraid in the palace, that would be the reason, why this young emperor left from his palace and started the campaign what stopped in India. When he returned home somebody poisoned him.
