In that situation, the new governments promised to return the merchandise like parcels and houses to the real owners. Or if the owners were not found that property was sold to the people at a very low price, and that thing is very complicated.

When the empty sites were sold to the people, that didn't mean that there were not legal proceedings about this kind of things, because of the family members of the persons who were killed in Holocaust, and who lived in Israel could demand that kind of property to themselves.
