The new hypersonic missiles will install into the Zumwalt-class destroyer USS Michael Monsoor.

All three Zumwalt-class destroyers are getting new and powerful hypersonic missiles.  Those missiles have a speed of Mach 5+. And they have a very long range, says the article in the Eurasian Times. The installation of those new hypersonic missiles means that the advanced 155mm. gun turrets are removed and replaced by hypersonic missile tubes. The world is waiting for new lightweight and portable super- and hypersonic systems. Military forces can install those hypersonic systems in vehicles like main battle tanks. Or they can even be man-portable. 

The new hypersonic systems can shoot dummy or intelligent ammunition. And they are the most powerful systems in the world. 

Hypersonic systems are not always missiles. They might be things like rail guns. And maybe the next stage in hypersonic weapons is the guided hypersonic ammunition for artillery. Railguns can accelerate artillery grenades to very high speed. And maybe, somebody already tests the scramjet-driven grenades or artillery shells that speed is over Mach 5. 

The railgun technology makes it possible to create a small-caliber, fast-sooting gun that can use against airborne and surface targets. The thing is that the railgun technology makes a standard iron-hearted .50 caliber bullet devastating if its speed rises over Mach 6. The same system can shoot guided ammunition like "intelligent bullets" to the targets. And the railgun systems can shoot even individual persons from extremely long ranges. 

These kinds of systems are the next-generation tools for the military. The railguns can accelerate even regular rifle bullets to a speed that is many times higher than Mach 1. The speed of famous GAU-8 "Avenger" ammunition is Mach 1,5. So if the speed of the bullet is Mach 3- or higher. That thing makes also rifle-caliber guns powerful against at least light armor. 

Nanotechnology, along with new and powerful power sources makes it possible to create lightweight and powerful magnetic systems. Those magnetic accelerators can install also to the silencers of regular rifles. And that thing increases the speed of the bullet very high. If that kind of bullet has a uranium core, that thing gives it the ability to destroy almost all kinds of targets.

The advantage of the ballistics and ammunition technology have been very fast. The guided ammunition has been come in the rifles, at the first that ammunition came in artillery, but then the same technology transferred to 50 caliber ammunition, and the miniaturization of that technology have been brought the ability to use guided projectiles in the normal assault rifles. And the mass production makes that kind of technology weapon, what will be shared with the normal troops. The road is the same as all other weapons like assault rifles. At first, those weapons were used by the highly trained special forces, but then they became the standard equipment of the military forces around the world.

But also traditional ammunition would have more effect. It could be equipped with a miniaturized hollow warhead, which means that in the back of the hollow bullet is small size RDX explosive, which makes it the small size HEAT ammunition. And if the operator would want to be nasty, would the front of the RDX ammunition put the small capsule that is filled with the hydrocarbon. That thing would transform the bullet as the small size FAE warhead. That capsule can be the morphine ampule, what is filled with the acetone.

The fire control system of the battleship can be miniaturized in the very small size, and it can fit in the combat rifle. The intelligent rifle is actually a very complicated thing, what bases the same technology, what is used with the mobile telephones, and one component of those handguns and rifles is the GPS, what shows the location of the gun. The intelligent weapon would detect that the person, who uses the gun is the right one, and if the person who uses the gun has not the portable IFF system, that gun would deliver that information to the command center by using the same radio, what is used for GPS systems. But the intelligent handgun would also aim the gun for the operator.

It can connect with the intelligent glasses by using Bluetooth, and that means that the shooter can shoot over the angle by using the sharp fire.  The system will notice the angle of the gun, and when the target is seen, it would take the image of that. Then the system would aim the crosshair in the right angle, and then the system would even launch the ammunition. Computerized telescope sights are the new form of the battlefield. But do you know what that thing actually is?

The intelligent sight is actually the miniaturized version of the system, what is used in warships and artillery to aim the cannons in the right angle to the target. That means that the computerized or intelligent sight would move the crosshair in the right location in HUD-display in the scope, that the bullet will hit the target, and in the best versions, the system would get information of the wind speed, air pressure, and humidity.  The system would get that data from the communication system, which normally delivers data for the field operators.

Then the system would get information about the muzzle velocity of the bullets, and that would make it aim the crosshair in the right position. In the intelligent rifles is the computer in the stock and the system can launch the ammunition by using electric arc, which makes possible to use the most precise firepower, what have been ever created. The system would operate with multiple computer programs, and it communicates even with satellites for getting the right parameters for the sharp shoots.

When we are thinking about this kind of technology, we must realize that modern military technology is similar to other technology. That means that when the production methods advance and the electronics will become more effective, the high-tech systems would become the standard equipment of the military. And that kind of things, what has first reserved to the best and most trained operators would also share to normal military personnel.
