The Navy develops high-energy DEW (Directed Energy Weapons) against hypersonic weapons.

Hypersonic missiles are hard targets but "easy to destroy". If the air-defense weapons can track and aim bullets or missiles against hypersonic missiles they can destroy them. But the problem is that counter-weapons must hit to target. And the low-flying hypersonic weapon will not let a long time for reacting. 

Hypersonic weapons have the same thing as all other missiles and airplanes. That thing is that they are easy to destroy if the ammunition hits to target. There are developed weapon systems that can shoot over a million small-caliber ammunition against the target. The problem is that those CIWS systems (Close-in Weapon systems) are using lots of ammunition. 

And the ship needs an ammo ship for refilling its ammunition storage quite often. There are also missile-based systems that are shooting multiple missiles against incoming targets. But those systems are expensive, they are slow to reload. And the hypersonic warhead can be stealthy. They hit targets before their sound will reach them. And the radar echo from those targets is extremely weak. 




The things like DEW (Direct Energy Weapons) is that they don't need ammunition. The laser systems can also use as Lidar. So that kind of system can see incoming warheads sooner than regular radars. There are developed anti-stealth systems that detect the visual image of the attacking systems. Also, infrared imaging systems are making it possible that the detector sees incoming hypersonic missiles. 

Detection of hypersonic missiles is based on the use of satellites. Or some other high-flying platforms like GlobalHawk or some solar-power aircraft. One of those systems could be the blimp which orbits the naval unit near the edge of the atmosphere. 

Those high-flying platforms should detect the rocket booster or the air channel or turbulence that the hypersonic weapon leaves after it. Then that system sends the information about that launch to predicted target areas.  The problem is that the satellites and other platforms are good targets for the ASAT systems that can aim and destroy high-flying aircraft,  blimps, and satellites.

One type of hypersonic weapon is a hard target even for laser systems. Those hypersonic weapons are rifle-caliber hypersonic weapons. Those systems can shoot even millions of bullets against their targets. The speed of each bullet can be over Mach 6. 

China is testing a new hypersonic weapon. The hypersonic bullet travels with a speed that over 4000 meters per second. The hypersonic bullet is a new type of weapon that can destroy tanks and armored vehicles. The hypersonic bullet is the thing that makes personal armor like bullet-proof vests useless. The hypersonic bullets are the thing that is making the Scifi-superweapons true. 

Navies are testing railguns that are using hypersonic bullets. Those hypersonic bullets are meant to destroy incoming missiles. But they can also use rail guns to sweep the beach and make a road for landing troops. Those railguns can also use as "super-sniper" systems. But the military industries are developed handguns whose muzzle velocity is over 2000 m/s (Roughly Mach 6). 

These kinds of weapons are a new type of solution for the military. Lightweight, man-portable hypersonic rifles that are using intelligent aiming technology can be used in both, offensive and defensive roles. Theoretically, hypersonic handguns can use to replace multiple lightweight anti-aircraft systems.

The new hypersonic missile variants concern the USA and NATO.



Russia is taking new 3M22 Zircon missiles in service. Zircon is an air-breathing scramjet or ramjet propeller missile. The speed range of the missile is Mach 5 to Mach 9. And maybe the Mach 9 model uses scramjet. And Mach 5 model uses ramjet. Wikipedia says that the Zircon uses scramjet, so there may be two models of that missile other is reserved only for the Russian fleet. And another is the export model. 

Russia has another hypersonic weapon already in service. That is an air-launched Kh-47M2 Kinzhal which uses a conventional rocket engine. 

The speed of the Kinzhal missile is Mach 10 to Mach 12. But its flight range is more limited. The dropping aircraft is normally a TU-22B or MiG-31 that takes the missile near to its target. And then it can launch that missile.And the system uses regular rocket engines. 

China has two long-range hypersonic missiles in service. DF-21D and DF-26B. Those weapons are meant to destroy the US fleet of aircraft carriers.  DF-21D is an anti-ship ballistic missile. And the DF-26B is an anti-ship variant of the DF-26A missile. 

DF-17 is a ballistic missile with a hypersonic glider. There is the possibility that the DF-17 glider is installed in the DF-21 and DF-26 missiles. There is also claiming that the Zircon is a copy of the DF-17 missile. But Russians say that Zircon uses scramjet engines and is more advanced than any of those weapons before. 

So those Chinese missiles are ballistic missiles that can launch from far away in the drylands. Those weapons are more conventional IRBM (Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles) with precision-guided warheads than some hypersonic cruise missiles. 

There are visions that the scramjet-driven cruise missile can be shoot to ballistic trajectory by using conventional rockets. The rocket takes that cruise missile out of the atmosphere. And then the cruise missile falls back into the atmosphere. When the cruise missile's speed increases enough high. The scramjet engine can start. 

The hypersonic cruise missile can fly at a very high speed at a high altitude. The operational altitude of the hypersonic scramjet-driven missile is higher than a regular cruise missile. But it is lower than ICBM missiles. 

That makes defense against those hypersonic weapons difficult. The altitude where hypersonic missiles are flying is very high. That denies overheating of the body of the missile. The missile's speed must be high enough that the scramjet engine can get enough oxygen. 

There are tested laser weapons against those hypersonic cruise systems. Hypersonic cruise missiles that use stealth technology are hard to detect. If the defender can calculate the trajectory of the incoming hypersonic cruise missile there is possible to aim counter-actions against those missiles. The hypersonic missile can have a microwave transmitter in its nose. That transmitter or microwave weapon gets its energy from a rapid air generator. 

That system makes defense against hypersonic weapons more difficult. The microwaves are giving EMP impulses to the target. And those impulses can also destroy or damage the incoming surface-to-air missiles that shot against the track of the hypersonic missile. 

The new 6th. generation jet fighters can also have the ability to shoot down hypersonic missiles. Those jet fighters might also have the ability to fly with hypersonic speed and shoot down hypersonic targets by using some traditional weapon or laser weapon. So the ultimate weapon will face the counter weapon. And then some new solution makes that counter weapon useless.

Free-electron lasers and WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction)

 




The quantum fogs like electron clouds are effective tools for creating high energetic radiation. The free-electron lasers are the most powerful in the world. They are producing their laser rays by using curving electrons. When the electrons change their direction in particle accelerators. They are transmitting photons. 

The size of the free-electron lasers is extremely large but those systems might have modular structures. That means that the series of the satellites will connect to one extremely powerful entirety. And modular structure means. The small-size satellites what has a laser inside them could connect to the chain. 


The virtualization of the laser means. The power of the laser ray will increase stressing it with other same frequency laser rays. There is no limit to the power of that kind of laser system. 


Or the large group of laser satellites can connect their laser rays to one very powerful laser ray. The collector lasers must be more powerful than the other lasers and that thing makes it possible to make the extremely powerful laser ray. 

Those particle accelerators can have a length of kilometers and that's why those systems are not thought of as weapons. There is the possibility to make another version of the free-electron lasers. In that model is called a cathode-free-electron laser. The cathode rays (electron beams) are traveling around the electron cloud. That radiation would stress the electron cloud, and those electrons would send the photon beam. So that thing can be one of the lasers of the future. 

The most dangerous and powerful lasers are antimatter lasers. The antimatter lasers are similar to other lasers. But they are getting their light energy from antimatter impacts. 

The antimatter- or electron-positron impact lasers are extremely powerful versions of the free-electron lasers. In those lasers, another electron beam transformed to positrons. The light energy that impacts the laser element is the most powerful in the world. 


The lasers are more dangerous than people even imagine. 


Could the orbital laser act as a weapon of mass destruction? Many people believe that lasers are not capable to destroy cities. Or lasers can cause only fires and against them is possible to hide by staying inside. But in real life, if the high-power laser ray will hit to tall structure like an obelisk or skyscraper. 

The thermal expansion could cause large-scale destruction of the area around that object. When the temperature level rises in that object very fast it explodes. And that thing causes the horizontal pressure and heatwave. Also, the laser rays can cause horizontal thermal waves when they are hitting the water. That thing can form tsunamis.

What would you do with a laser, what is thinner than a single hair, but has the power of two megawatts? The new thing in lasers is nanotechnology. The laser ray forms in the tube, what is filled with medium, and the light, what comes from sides will make that ray in that tube, what is called as the laser element.

When we are thinking about the use of nanotubes, we could create an extremely small diameter transparent tube, which is filled with a medium like carbon monoxide, and both sides of this thing would put the laser-mirrors, one is fully mirror, and in other mirror is the small hole for creation of the laser ray. That would make possible to make kilometers long lasers, which would have the same diameter as hair.

Those systems must just surround by light sources, and they would make possible to create powerful energy ray to a very small point. Of course, that element can be made by using the red glass, which makes it the rubidium laser. Those ultrathin elements would put in the reel, and when the laser is needed the laser element, what is surrounded by the smallest possible LED lights, and then the system would create extreme powerful ray, what would be targeted to the very small area.

When we are thinking about carbon monoxide lasers and HO (Hydrogen Oxygen) or simpler saying water lasers, those systems would give their burst in two wavelengths. If we would make simple diamond glass, which means the crystal form of carbon or artificial diamond the laser would give only one wavelength of the light.

That thing could increase the power of the laser, and the thing is that normally laser needs the medium, where the light would scatter to both ends of the laser tube. That thing puts the laser light jump between mirrors, and when more light would be brought to the laser ray, it's energy would rise. But what if we would not use medium, and we would simply light the mirrors by using askew lights?

Would it increase the power of the system? Let's say that it would cause the formation of a very powerful light if we would make the light ray jump from mirror to another through a vacuum. In this case, the light would be targeted straight to mirrors, and then it would increase it's power the same way as it travels in the medium. The power of the laser ray would turn very high because the laser element would not be heated the same way,  how the tube, what is filled with medium would be heathen.

The temperature is the problem with the lasers. And if the element would overheating it would break laser. But if the light travels in a vacuum, there is no resistant and the temperature would turn lower than with normal lasers. Another version is to make the laser extremely long, where the big size would help to cool the lasers, and also the flowing water, what will flow around laser would keep the temperature low. In aircraft, the flowing air would handle the cooling. of the laser.

Red granite is red because there is so much iron oxide. Iron oxide is one of the most important red pigment sources in the world, and that composite is used in solid rocket fuel as the oxygenizing, the very high temperature burning composition called thermite, what burns in temperature about 3200 degrees Celsius. But also the red mineral can be used for making things like colored glass. That glass is used in the most powerful solid lasers in the world.

One of the biggest problems with high power lasers is that if there are gas bubbles in the element, that will crash the glass. So the gas must be removed from those glass sticks by using the vacuum, which makes the glass homogeneous. The thing, why those systems are so effective is that they can remove things from layers by using the accuracy of one atom. That means that those systems can remove also bacteria from the layers very sharply, and they can be used to cleaning the wounds by sharper than any chemical can do. So in the world of tomorrow, the drones or quadcopters can make surgical operations in the forests and the hospitals by using lasers.

Those drones can hover above patients, and the lasers can be used as the knife or scalpel, but the laser can also remove the hostile particles from the body. The laser is so sharp, that it can steam the particle in the body, without the heat effect to the tissue. And that thing makes it an interesting and dangerous actor.  But there is one sad thing, and that is this accuracy can benefit in military purposes. The thing is that the same laser systems can be used in both purposes the giving help to wounded, but those systems can also be used as weapons.

If we use the laser as a weapon the laser ray would cause extreme damages in the body because the heat of the ray is vaporizing the water in the cells, and that thing causes the deep burn, but the more powerful lasers can cause the hydrostatic shock when those cells would explode in the body. But lasers can be used in more horrifying actions. The high accuracy makes them act almost every way, what the operators would want. The lasers can remove bacteria or skin of the opposite actors, and that thing can be the new type of replacer of the chemical weapons.

The thing is that if the protective bacteria layer of the skin is removed, a person would die. Those systems would cause no pain when they attack, and they can terminate the enemy operators before the military actions begin. This is what makes the laser one most horrifying weapons, what people can ever create, but that system has also many opportunities, and how we use that ultimate tool depends on the user.

The idea of photon- or laser computer is that the electricity would be replaced by light, which means that the temperature of the microprocessor would be lower than in some traditional computer, what will use electricity for transporting data. In laser computers, the problem is that the production of needed components is really difficult, and the replacement of electricity by using the light seems absurd. But then we can think one thing, what is not normally mentioned when we are written or read things like laser computers.

We could use a laser system as well to transport information and energy to the components. In this solution every each component of the computer would be equipped with small-size photovoltaic cells. Those cells would receive data from transmitting a laser beam, and also they could create electricity for the component, and this brings fascinating things in the mind.

If this kind of computer would someday be made, the system could save electricity. The thing what makes this system revolutionary is that every each component in this kind of computer have an independent power source, and the power to that system would be brought to the electric circuit by using lasers. That kind of system opens new doors to the world of computing.

The system what I will describe here is the hybrid version of traditional and photon computer. So it's not pure photon computer, and less radical or revolutionary, what it seems. But that thing could bring a big advantage in computing if it would someday work and this kind of microchips would become cheaper to produce.

The internal architecture of every single component would be like in a traditional microchip, but the data travel between those microchips in the form of photons. Each of those components would be equipped with the laser, and small photovoltaic-cell, which also would create the electricity to those microcircuits. The idea of this kind of system is that the microchips would produce electricity, only when they need it.

This system would operate with a very low voltage, and because of the copper wires between those components are replaced with the laser rays, what can travel in open space. If that system would put in the vacuum box, those laser rays would not create very much heat, what is the problem with normal computers. The components can be connected to the core of the vacuum box, which helps to cool them. The thing is that the heat would create oscillation in the microchip, which will cause the dropping of the speed of computing.

So in these kinds of futuristic hybrid computers, the temperature would be lower than in normal, or traditional computer, and that would someday be a very effective solution for computing, along with quantum computers, what are superior solutions for high power computing. But the work must be done, and that's why those systems along with quantum computers would be in the future answers in the problems of high power computing. Or this kind of system could use quantum technology if it someday could be done. But this is the visions of tomorrow.

Virtual gloves are important tools when the objects are moving in virtual space. But those gloves can be used also to control the real machines in a multi-tasking virtual environment. In this kind of interfaces, the user can move objects like balls around the space, or they can click themselves in the ball, and find themselves in the virtual multi-universe. But the real thing in virtual space is that this thing can communicate with real machines, what is operating in a real environment.

The problem with this kind of systems has been that those things have ever been mobile before. but modern technology can make the true mobile version of the virtual reality tools true. Those systems might base the same technology, which is used to make the mobile telephone the 3D scanner, but in this time the system would operate as the virtual gloves.

The laser scanner in portable 3D glasses can scan hands, and make the physical VR gloves unnecessary. The movement of hands would be filmed, and they might be the same purpose, what the physical gloves have. And that system can use in the outside and cold weather because that allows using normal thermal gloves at the same time. 

The thing is that the system makes the image of the hands by using the laser-scanner, which is connected with portable VR-glasses, and the system is communicating with a mobile telephone with the Internet. If the user of this device would have a power pack or extra-battery in the belt, that would make this thing real. If the system needs extra calculating power, it would be made by installing the mobile telephone computer circuit in the VR-glasses.

That system can use in the same operations with regular VR-systems, and it can control robots in the field, and the person can sit at the same time at the garden. This system can also scan the fingerprints, which denies the misuse of the system, or unauthorized use of the tools, or sad to say, weapons, what that kind of system can remote control.

The developing of those 70-200 KW carbon dioxides or rubidium laser-based systems are sometimes claimed to be a development of the assassination weapons because those systems can track every cellphone on the streets. That means nobody is in safe, is the cell phone is in the list of termination. Also, those systems can use face recognition programs to locate targets for their weapons, and those systems might be the next generation ordinance.

High flying stratospheric aircraft can be a deadly surprise for any target in the world. It can be used in the operations as the laser platform, what can aim the laser-guided weapons to the target, or shoot them down by using the DEW:s (Directed Energy Weapons). The thing is that modern smart bombs are deadly even they are small sized, and if the aircraft like U-2 or "Global Hawk" drone would be equipped even with small size GPS-bomb, can they be deadly against almost any target in the world.

Even if the smart bomb size is less than 100 kilograms, they would cause a horrifying situation, if they are hitting the enemy headquarters. That means that the miniature anti-tank guided bombs can also use in the strategic missions, and they can be dropped to oil refineries, and ammo dumps as well in the enemy radio stations.

But those aircraft can also have cannons, what are equipped with anti-tank grenades. The use of those gunships could be that they can shoot the targets like other aircraft in the airborne, or nail them on the runways, and in some rumors, the CIA has been created the special cannon, what uses 25-30 mm cartridge, but the projectile would be like a normal bullet and the idea is that this high flying gunship could play that the snipers are slipped in the area.

I don't know how successful those weapons would be, and has anyone of them really installed on the U-2 or TR-1 aircraft, but the new Predator-III drones has the laser, what has been got the improvisation from those CIA gunships, what mission would be fly above other aircraft, and shoot them down from above by using cannon fire.  In fact, if one single 30 mm. HEAT (hollow grenade) would hit any aircraft, would that cause the destruction of the targeted aircraft. If the cannon would have an electric mechanism, that can shoot the single shots or series of grenades.

When we are thinking about the laser, that have boon installed in Predator III and probably in Global Hawks, that laser's primary mission would destroy the incoming missiles, and the targeting that system would happen by using the thermal image of the missile. The thing, what makes this process quite easy is that the rocket motor leaves the very bright thermal image. In some rumors, two carbon dioxide lasers would be in installing opposite ways in the body of the Global Hawks, and that allows them to target the 360 degrees area under the aircraft.

The nickname of those drones could be "Tarantella hawk". The laser ray would conduct to the target by using mirrors, which makes possible to use larger and more powerful lasers. Those high flying drones can fly above other aircraft and shoot them with those directed energy weapons, what can cut the wings off the aircraft. And under the F-22 and F-35 interceptors is planned to install a semiautomatic version of this system.

This laser can also installed in bombers and Lockheed-Martin HAA (High-Altitude Airships) and other Blimps, what can control the atmosphere around some city. That airship can hang in the sky, and shoot the cruise missiles down by using lasers or microwaves, what are other suitable weapons for DEW (Directed Energy Weapons). That laser can destroy the incoming missiles or other targets independently or it can be controlled by the pilot. The modern computer technology can allow using the image recognition systems in that weapon, which can target it in any hostile object, what that thing sees.
