Insect swarms can electrify air the same way as thunderstorms.

The reason. Why electricity in flashes of lightning is so powerful is that the thundercloud loads electricity into them until electricity travels to the ground. There is the possibility that insect swarms would get the same electric load as thunderclouds. If insects are flying at high altitudes and radio impulses are hitting them. That can raise the electric load on their body to a high level.

When small insects flap their wings. They can form static electricity in their tiny hair. The insect's hair acts like all other hair. And when it moves, it forms static electricity. Even if the voltage of one insect is not very high,  billions of insects can form quite a high-power electric phenomenon.

There is also possible that static electricity forms the ion channel in the air which conducts lightning to a certain point. Even a weak ion channel makes the point where electricity can travel easier than elsewhere. And that thing can cause problems with communication systems.

Insects are searching warm places. And the electric field can disturb high-speed data communication. Also, there is the possibility that insects can aim lightning at that communication equipment.

Also, insects themselves can load with electricity. When insect swarm flies in the electromagnetic field like radio waves that radiowaves load electricity onto their bodies. When radio waves are loading electricity onto the insect's bodies they face a similar effect as starlings when they are sitting on electric wires.

They will not get an electric shock because they are not touching the ground. When starlings touch the ground. Electricity travels away from it.

The electric load continues to grow until it would hit to ground. But the insect itself will not feel anything. But when that insect sits on something. Electricity travels out from it. And if that thing is some kind of electric device that electric shock can disturb or even destroy the system.

Primitive animals like insects can use for modeling new types of data handling tools for small-size robots.

Primitive animals like insects can use for modeling new types of data handling tools for small-size robots.

Image 1:

Why scientists are interested in how the fly is navigating in 3D space? Primitive animals make many things by using a couple of neurons. And that process can copy to the computers which are used to navigate things like drones. The fact is that also things like flies and butterflies are migrating. And that ability can copy to things like drones. The ability to understand the operands of the neurons makes it possible to make more autonomic and more independent robots. The problem with computers is that the things like butterflies can make many things that computers are making.

But the problem is that butterflies or flies are needed less space than computers. So the system that some monarch butterflies are using in their lifetime is more compact than some supercomputers. If we want to make a long-range drone that can make the same things with monarch butterflies it requires outsourced computers. Theoretically is quite easy to make a robot butterfly that has an operation range even thousands of kilometers.

Daytime that robot can use miniaturized solar panels- And night time it can use miniaturized fuel cells which are using ethanol or methanol as the fuel. But the problem is that this type of robot needs outsourced computers. So the thing is that the butterflies might have fewer neurons than in some supercomputer has microchips. But the butterfly makes more things with its neurons.

Modern microchips can turn any neuron into a biocomputer.

There is the possibility to turn the brains of the bugs into the biological computer. The system requires "only" that the similar microchips that are used to control the actions of bacteria will install in the neurons of those bugs.

The data that is wanted to process in those neurons can be input to them by using those microchips. That kind of system can use to turn living bugs into zombies or cyborgs that can be remote controlled. Also, that kind of system can use to create more powerful data handling units.

The computer has used lights to control cyborg bacteria. Similar technology could use to transmit data to neurons. But new nanotechnical microchips are more powerful tools. And they can transmit data to neurons benefiting magnetite crystals in the neurons.

Or those microchips are interacting with axons. They can send a nano-size electric wire to the axon and transmit data in there by using electric impulses.

Researchers can use knowledge of how the nervous system of insects is working to create more economical and powerful computers.

But the times are changing. There is the possibility to implant nano-technical microchips in the bug's nervous system. Those systems can give orders to them. And then, they can store the nervous signals what those bugs are creating. After that, the bigger drone can call those bugs to it and it can download the memory of those microchips. The ability to encode and decode the EEG of the bugs is one of the amazing visions in the world. That thing makes it possible to use those things as biological surveillance systems.

The thing is that making hybrid computers where living neurons are connected with microchips is one of the most fascinating ideas in computer science.

The computers that are connected with living neurons are the most powerful tools in history. If we want to create a system that uses fuzzy logic use of living neurons is the best opportunity. The problem is that the abilities of that kind of hybrid computer are unknown. The thing that makes regular computers safe is simple. Operators can select and download controlled data to it.

If we are connecting computers to living neurons. We are creating a cyborg. A cybernetical organism means that the system might have consciousness and will like all other creatures. This kind of system has also the ability to defend itself. How the system interacts with people is depending what kind of tools it has. And the second thing is that the system must know how to use those tools.

Living neurons are the thing that is giving so-called wild card ability for computers. Genomes are controlling the behavior of the species. And if those neurons are taken from the insects are put in the combat drones. That drone can believe that it's the monarch butterfly. So before that kind of system is put in use neurons must be cleaned.

That means the heritable memories and fears must remove from their DNA. Researchers must make this type of thing. Before we can start to make the hybrid microchips there is an organic part. That connected to the regular microchips. The regular microchips needed to act as the port between neurons and quantum systems. The problem with quantum computers is that they are large-size systems.

Why insects are so interesting?

Why insects are so interesting?

https://kimmoswritings.blogspot.com/

In the point of view of the scholars, who are researching and developing the machine learning and learning process, the insects are giving a very good tool for that kind of research. The insects are making many things by using only one neuron, and that thing would make possible to understand the actions of the single neuron and the networks of synopsis in the learning process. But the thing is that the researchers are also interesting the things, what would make individual skills and the things, what are making so-called typical fear of some other thing for the species.

This information would help us to protect ourselves against bugs, because if we can terminate the escaping model of the population of insects, would the bugs be easier to create methods to destroy them from some area. If the information that some poison is killing the bugs would transfer to the next generation of insects that mean that the poison would be removed from the markets.

Research of intelligence and learning

The ability to transform fears and other things would be researched by using bugs. There are fears, what would transform to the next generations. Those fears would be noticed in cases like fear of the snakes. Almost every person in the world are afraid snakes and that fear is typical to the species like a human. The insects can be used in the research, what kind of fears would transform between generations and what kind of fear is staying at an individual level.

And of course, theorists have thought that could it possible to create the neuron, what would have as many tiny carbon fiber connections in the circular form, as the humans have in brains. This is a very good question because if some neuron would have the same number of synopsis connections to itself, it could be in theory, have the same level of intelligence as humans have. And the thing is that kind of things are really interesting.

But the bugs like flies and wasps can be used to investigate the learning process, what can be used in the robotics. By learning things, how the insects would find a way to the food, scientists can model those operations to the robots.

Bugs can control robots in the future.

The thing is that the insects or the neurons of the insects can installed in the microchip, where they are communicating with the processor by using miniaturized EEG-systems, and the system would be similar, what is used with the human, in the brainwave-controlled robotics system. In that case, feeding that thing is really important, and that is one reason, why developing the biological microprocessor is difficult. Those neurons need nutrient, and if the tank of sugar water will fall on the microcircuit,  that is the end of the computer.

In this case, the insect is put inside the microprocessor, and it can actually use the sensors of the military aircraft, what would transfer the signals to the brains of the bugs. The bug can actually fly the combat aircraft if it is connected to the autopilot by using the electric connection, which allows two-way communication between the central processing system and the neurons of those bugs. But this is the vision of tomorrow, and product of imagination.

The problem with genome transfers and increasing intelligence of other species

The problem with genome transfers and increasing intelligence of other species

Chinese scientists have transferred the human brain genomes to monkeys, and those monkeys might become more intelligent. This kind of tests have one problem, and that is if the inmates, what are the targets of the genome transfer would become more intelligent than the scientists think, that genetically modified animal would probably not tell that to the scientist group.

And in fact, this kind of things would make those inmates very dangerous, because if they feel that they are under threat they might act violently against the people. This is the problem with the genetic tests, which are made by using higher animals.

When we are thinking about intelligence, we must realize, that the size of the brains would not make species intelligent. There are other things, which influences that thing. The most important thing is the number of neurons, and the second one is the number of the connections of the neurons, and the last one is more important than we have ever thought about before. The tests where the scientists have researched the intelligence level of the bugs, they have been surprised how intelligent the insects can be.

The thing is the insects have only ten neurons, but they can do more things with that neuron, and the reason for that is that the neurons of the bugs are connected to themselves is making them more flexible. This structure that axons are connected to the same neuron, where they are left, allows that neuron makes more than one mission.

And then somebody has created an idea, that is it possible that intelligent animal might have only one neuron, but that neuron would have billions of axons, what has connected itself and together. This kind of thing would make possible that some worm can become intelligent. But those things are only thoughts, what philosophers and scientists are throwing when they are in their beds and write some texts on the Internet.

That kind of thoughts are really interesting, and the thing is that in this world is permission to think. If we think that some worm could be intelligent, we might always think that it will communicate with us, and has the same level of intelligence as we have. That is not actually true. If the worm would have the same intelligence level as fish, it can be really interesting.

When we are thinking about the increasing or adjusting the intelligence level of the people, we might face the thing, what was introduced by Joseph Stalin. That man created an idea of the "monkey soldiers". The hybridization of the man and monkey and the idea of this creature would be, that the military men would not need own will. That means that those persons would every time do exactly the leaders will tell, and in fact, in Stalin's mind were create the human, who would not think self at all.

In the head of that project was Dr. Ivanov, the same man, who attempted to transplant the dog's head to another body, and there are rumors that "the test units" of those creatures were really created, and they were entered to service in the Soviet army. But there is not any evidence that those "human robots" were ever created. And there are many secrets, what people don't even want to know about this kind of genome tests, which are very interesting, but at the same time terrifying.
