The problem of the speed of light.

The problem of the speed of light.

If we would send the crew to another solar system, that thing needs a very big investment. And if we would make the manned flight to another solar system it would mean the final goodbye for that crew, if we cannot create craft what would travel faster than the speed of light. And this is the problem. We cannot make sure if the system like WARP-craft or wormhole would work properly before we test it.

And if the craft would be a disappointment, there is a possibility, that we cannot get it back, or in the better case, the craft would turn useless version of the giant spacecraft, which can be modified to the space station. But if the craft would travel about 50% of the speed of light, the journey to the Alpha Centauri system would take over 8 years to one way.

The problems with long-term space trips to other solar systems are that we don't know how to handle time. So when we are creating the models, where the spacecraft would reach the speed of the light or goes faster than the light, we must realize that there would be two versions of that very interesting phenomenon.

The realistic version of that thing is the virtual crossing the speed of light. In that case, the spacecraft would create the speed, which is near the speed of light, and then the time would go slower or even stop inside the capsule. Or if we would increase the mass or energy to that craft, the thing would cause the effect, that the time seems to go backward, because its energy would be so huge, that the light cannot escape from the surface.

But the craft is not crossing the speed of light. And the thing is that the journey to the nearest star would take 4,3 years, or in fact, the flight time would take longer, because the craft would be accelerated years, and the breaking would take years. The virtual crossing the speed of light would happen by connecting the particle accelerator to the craft, and that would make that effect possible if the particle accelerator would start near the speed of light. The idea would be that the magnetic accelerator would move particles forward when the craft is traveling near the speed of light.

There is one another possibility to attempt that kind of thing like real crossing the speed of light, but that thing needs the so enormous craft, that is hard to create even in the most optimistic visions. The first stage of the craft would equip with the giant magnetic accelerator, and when this base stage would be accelerated near the speed of light, another stage would send to the forward by using the particle accelerator.

That thing would, in theory, make that incredible thing possible, but the problem is how to stop that vehicle? The second stage would not be very big, and that would make it impossible to use any kind of braking system unless some version of the solar sail would be used in that mission. So that system could be the solar brake.

The WARP-system might have the potential for that kind of system, but the problem is that we cannot know the answers for that thing could the vehicle somehow cross the speed of light before the WARP-craft has been created. And here we are facing things, what is the only possible in the space programs, and the thing is that if the speed of WARP or some other spacecraft would be only 15% of the speed of light, that thing would be a very big disappointment.

But the speed of that spacecraft would be very high, and that means that in that case, when the speed was only small part of the expected or hoped, the craft cannot return very easily. And that means that if the WARP would not work perfectly, we would notice that thing even after a couple of years. The system would make for nothing. It could travel inside the solar system, but the huge system that is meant for interstellar craft would be a little bit too big for interplanetary flight, and those systems would not be suitable for small scale missions.

One technology, what will take humans to Alpha Centauri

One technology, what will take humans to Alpha Centauri

By using this kind of technology mankind can travel to Alpha Centauri in about eight years, but that thing needs enormous systems. And traveling to further the craft should be more sophisticated than this version. The problem with interstellar visions is to select a suitable star for the journey, and then choose the suitable techniques for the journey would take a long time. By using the next kind of complicated techniques the journey to the other solar systems would be possible, but the system allows to travel to Alpha Centauri, and further journey needs more sophisticated techniques.

When we are thinking about the technologies, what can be used to travel in interstellar space, we must realize that the pure systems are not possible to make. The best possibility of that kind of journey would be hybrid technology. In that technology, the multiple systems would accelerate the spacecraft across space, and if we would need to make systems, what is giving the necessary punch for interstellar spacecraft, we must realize that those giant lasers and electron cannons are also weapons. And in the real-life interstellar space journey, there are many problems for solving, before the real craft would send to trip.

One of the biggest problems is how to get the spacecraft, which would travel with very high speed out of solar systems across the Oort Cloud in one piece. And that thing is very complicated because of the size or weight of spacecraft would be about 20 tonnes, it would pull other objects to it at very high speed. And if the speed is about 20-50% of the speed of light, the impact with every particle would be devastating. One technology that allows interstellar space travel possible is the hybrid technology, where the spacecraft would push to the journey by using the giant electron cannon.

This cannon could be the artificial neutron star or the giant generator, which will create an extremely high energy field by using plasma or ionized gas, which will rotate the stator of the generator. This technology, what is imitating things, what is happening inside planet Jupiter, would make possible to load the spacecraft with energy at the same time it would use its electron or WARP-systems. In this case, the electron cannon would push the craft forward for giving more punch to its motors, and when the spacecraft would be accelerated to the very high speed, it would start to push by using the laser.

The electron cannon would orbit the sun between the Earth and Mars, and when the craft has been traveled to cross the trajectory of Neptune, it would get more punch from the very high power lasers or radiowaves, what is sent by the nuclear-powered laser and maser systems. In this scenario, this is orbiting the sun outside the trajectory of Neptune, and when the speed would be near the speed of the light, the photon motor of the system would be started. If the speed is less than 95-99 percent of the speed of light there is no benefit for launching the photon rocket. And at that speed, the craft would not have time to break or give away in the front of particles, what can be the size of the sand crystal.

If we would put the laser outside the Oort Cloud, what will happen in that case? The system would be enormous, the length of that hybrid system, what might be the free-electron laser would be even hundreds of kilometers. The nuclear power would make it very heavy, and in that case, the problem is to get this system behind the Oort Cloud. And it will pull meteorites and asteroids to it. When the spacecraft is flying the speed what is high enough, the system would turn to use laser, what would give a lighter punch, but the impulse of that thing is higher than use particles like electrons and protons, what will give more punch than photons, but those heavier particles are slower.

So in some visions that enormous machine would use to clear the particles away from the route of the spacecraft by using laser- or maser radiation, what will destroy the "snowballs" away from the route of the spacecraft. And in this case, the thing is that the smallest particles, what are the most dangerous might be left behind.
