The collectively owned city cars can be the extended version of the public transportation system. There is one solution for the people, who need to use a car in the towns but they don't live in that area. One of the problems of the automobiles in city areas is lack of space, and one solution is to offer the electric car for borrowing like some city bikes, and the thing in this idea is that people, who are coming outside of that area can borrow the cars, what are meant for collective use. The system is actually similar, what is used in the bus companies, where the drivers would change their turn by using the electric car, and this solution, where the people can borrow the car is actually the expanded version of this solution.

One of the biggest problems is how to control the driver, or actually that the driver has the driver's license. The thing is that this kind of solution must have access to check that the person, who uses that vehicle has the license to use that vehicle.

The electric cars can loan like city bikes if the driver can be identified and the thing that the driver has the driving license can be noticed. The user of the vehicle must put the ID or driver's license to the hole and use the PIN code. The marketing idea would be that the service is only for registered users. And the vehicles can use face recognition for identifying the driver. When the vehicle would return to its loading point, the system would tell it's properly returned.

If the vehicle is returned to the wrong place, the user must pay an extra bill. The safety of the system would be guaranteed by artificial intelligence, what would have image recognition system and GPS, what will tell the computer what is the speed limit in some areas, and that denies the over speeding. The thing in this kind of systems is that they are leaving the steering to the driver, but it controls the driving speed, and that system can, of course, record the driving session. This would be guaranteed that the protection under the law is done, even if the people would drive by using the collective own electric cars.
