In many plans, sea-mines and other types of weapons can drop from cargo planes. In the film above this text is shown how effective platform the cargo planes can be in the military world if they are equipped with modular weapon systems. The Russian military has published this film about its next-generation equipment but the U.S systems could be quite similar. 

The cargo planes are modified to flying command centers, electronic warfare aircraft, and gunships. The fact is that there is no difference between cargo- and attack aircraft like bombers. The high-yield nuclear bombs and thermobaric (FAE) weapons can deliver from cargo planes as well as from the bombers, and the new weapon kits are allowing the cargo planes to deliver also the smart precision-guided weapons.

And this is the reason, why the cargo planes should mention in the contracts. During the Vietnam war, the cargo planes delivered massive bombs to the jungle for making landing sites to the forest by falling trees by using the pressure effect of those weapons, and the AC-130 gunships have proven effective and lethal tools.

In some plans, the cargo-planes have been planned for using the platforms for high-power laser weapons. The cargo planes are also proven excellent platforms for launching intercontinental ballistic missiles. The missile will drop from the back hatch from the back of the aircraft, and then the barometer system will ignite the motor. In those tests have been tested the ASAT (Anti-satellite) and ballistic missiles in the USA and Russia.
