Why people confess things, what they ever made?

1) Sometimes people are convicted even to death, because of false confession

Many times in history, a person has been convicted without reason, and sometimes the reason for conviction is the confession, which is made without reason. So why people are making false confessions, and cause that real criminal can avoid justice?

The thing is that there is a couple of reasons, why people are making those things. And sometimes the reasons seem to be without sense, which means that this kind of thing is very interesting topics for researchers.

2) So what kind of reasons would cause that person to make a false confession? 

2.1) Lonely persons want to confess because they want attention

Sometimes lonely people confess things, what they are not done because they are feeling that they would get attention from the investigators. That causes that person would make confessions and that thing is absolute non-tolerant.

If the wrong person makes confessions and gets a conviction that means that the real criminal can continue the actions. This is the reason, why false confessions must not be done.

2.2) People want money and home in prison

Sometimes poor people are making wrong confessions because they want compensations because of the wrong imprisonment. And in some cases, homeless people are making confessions because they need a home.

The home would be in prison. In some cases, the rumors are told that the people, who are released after the wrong imprisonment have got very big money. This kind of confessions are taken the person to the death row, so this is the thing, why people should not make this kind of things

2.3) People want to become well known

Some people want to become famous because they got a false conviction. And the best way to get that thing is to make a false confession.

Those people are sometimes telling things that they want to write books or something like that because they are been in prison "without a reason". And this thing is sometimes caused that false confessions are romanticized.

2.4) People want to impress somebody

Sometimes some people want to get in prison because they want to become friends of some well-known people. And in those cases, people are making confessions, because they want to impress some marginal persons.

Or they would want to meet "real people", who are made real crimes. Then they believe, that they are going home, and tell people, how terrible was their treatment.

2.4.1) Some people believe that confession is releasing some person, who is important to them. 

Sometimes people are confessing because they want to release some other people from prison. And that causes an idea, that if people confess, the "right criminal" would come to offer themselves to the police. And this is sometimes the reason, why people are going to the police station, and make the confessions, what are not true.

2.5) People want just to hide some more embarrassing crimes or they are switching crimes with other people.

In those cases, people, who are arrested are chanced crimes because they want to be released, because those people are not seen in the murder scene. That means that in those cases the people are making confessions, what is seeming faked.

But the reality is that those people have made crimes, but not the crimes, what they have confessed. There is also one thing, what people do not usually think.

2.6) The boss of the organization has not made a crime self, but agitated others to make them.

The person has not made crimes personally but has agitated other people to make them. So the confession is wrong from the confessor's point of view. But agitation crime is a serious thing.

In this case, the person is acting as the boss of the criminal organization. And that means that the person has not made crimes themselves. But they are given orders to other people to make those things. This is one thing, what is typical in the mafia-cases.

2.7) People want to get membership in some MC-gang

Sometimes some confessors have got an idea, that if they confess the crime, what they have not done opens their road to the MC- or some other gangs. That kind of case is really interesting. Sometimes that kind of confessor is disturbed.

That means that they are easy to tempt confessions, which are not true. That kind of case is dangerous because if a person makes the wrong confession the real criminals can vanish. And if the person who is made crimes is a serial killer, that means that a very dangerous person can continue operating.
