The thing in the gothic script
Blackletter or the gothic font or gothic script is very difficult to read for modern people. In the modern writings are used normally the fonts, what are simpler to make, and this is the thing, what sometimes wonder me. This font was used in Europe from the 12th century to the year 1945. The thing in the gothic font and gothic texts are that those letters are very difficult to make for the physical letter stamp, what was made by iron.

The simpler form would make easier to folding the letters for the printing press and maybe the things like copywriters would be more common if there were used simpler forms than the gothic font, and there is a possibility that this font was made hard to read in purpose. If the person would write text, what is written by using gothic font, must the person put more focus on the text, than if they would be made by use common fonts.
Sometimes I have thought that maybe the gothic font has been used in the texts, what was meant for the university people for giving the book a more effective way to teach things, because if the person must focus to the text would that be more influential than text what is written by using some other fonts. And of course, the Blackletter is used for mark the important texts, because it seems really nice or solemn.
Because the person must think all the time while reading the text, would that teach the person to think, and when the person must check things from the other books, would that reader learn the things like checking facts by using multiple sources. And then focusing on writing gives the text more influence than if the font would be easier to read. But the Blackletter is marking for things, which are important.
The thing is that letter type was really hard to copy, and the old books are full of markings. Those markings were easy to notice, but hard to copy, and they were things like some letters were red, because that guaranteed the authentication of the book, and denied the allowance to put some faked texts in the law books or something like that because those things might cause terrible problems in the society.
But otherwise, if we would learn to write gothic letters in the schools, reading that text would be so easy, as reading things, what are written by using the normal text. And that's why some texts, what were meant only for the people, who have been in the high societies were written by using the gothic font. This might be one of the reasons, why some elder important books are written by using the gothic script. At the link below this text is the same writing by using the Gothic script.
