When we are thinking the character of that man, we must say that there was some extraordinary in his life and death. The thing is that Jesus believed that he was the son of God, but there is something very interesting thing about this thing. The problem with that was that claiming about that was illegal, and that meant in the worst case death.
The thing in that the death penalty was that the person claimed to be the doctor, but there are no papers about that training. When we are thinking about those case, where Jesus cured the ill people, that man would use some very common trick, and that is that those people were played sick, that man knew only the hand mark, what was reserved to some very high-rank nobleman, that he was able to play the medicine man.
