The U.S Air Force suspected to have a flying saucer, which has a capacity for Mach 4 flight and high altitude missions. The technology for that thing actually exists, and on the bottom, if that device might have a jet engine, what would push this thing upwards, and around that device could be small size jet motors or rockets, what are in the radial form. That would make this flying disk extreme maneuverable. And then maybe there are the main jet engines for giving the high-speed if those radial motors would not able to give high speed for that thing.
The thing about the saucer-shape body is that thing can actually fly in any direction with the same speed, and the limit is the engine system. One version of the radical motor designs is the ion motor, which makes the bubble of ions in the front of the edge of the flying saucer, and then the magnets would pull those ions over the layer, and if they are installed in the right form, that would allow that aircraft fly in any direction with the maximum speed.
If the system uses the electromagnetic motor like an electric arc, what is created by using high voltage radio waves, that disc can fly extreme high altitude. And if the system is equipped with a microwave system it can use as the electromagnetic weapon against enemy aircraft and electric system. The problem with electromagnetic motors is that they cause massive EMP-pulse, and in the military aircraft that would allow creating the extreme powerful EMP weapon, what works as the motor at the same time.
This means that the system would just fly above the targeted area, and then transfer to use the electromagnetic motor or weapon, and in fact, the mysterious "Die Glocke" might be the combination of the weapon and motor, what means that the system can drop any aircraft or destroy any power circuit by just flying above it. And it would make this thing extremely dangerous weapon. The saucer shape body can also be the perfect STEALTH-form, which allows creating the next generation interceptor, which can operate in the middle of hostile airspace.
