The CIA and drug trafficking
There have been rumors that the CIA or some other agency has funded its covert operations by drugs. The thing is that during the Vietnam War, there were tales that the CIA transported the drugs from the Golden Triangle, and gave the weapons to local warlords, who promised to fight against communism. The air operation is known as "Air America" (1) what was the name of the airline, what was owned by the CIA, but the question is: are the rumors about the official drug trafficking true?
The fact is that this kind of cooperation between criminals and the CIA is prohibited. So this writing is basing the light evidence that some "anti-communist" operators claimed that the CIA was accepted their actions. And the thing is that terrorist organizations like Al-Qaida might be sold the drugs to western people for buying guns. But is this happen under control of the CIA? This is the thing, that causes questions.
The fact is that sometimes drugs have been hidden in the military airplanes. But there is no proof that this thing has been done under the supervision of the government. In some stories, drug barons worked as the contacts of the CIA in the war against communists. The thing is that drugs like cocaine and heroin are good business and this kind of thing would give the money to the "self-financing" department of the CIA and Special Forces.
And some people are thinking that purpose would make every kind of dirty games and actions legal or justified. "Self-financing" means that the authorities can pay the covert actions without asking money from the government official channels. This kind of thing would allow creating dark operations, where is no evidence in documents.
The drugs can be used as "booster" in psychological operations.
But there are other things, that normal people don't know about drug trafficking. Drug barons are using drugs like cocaine in their recruiting process, and there is a possibility that the field operators have mixed the synthetic opiate named fentanyl(2) with cocaine. This thing will make the drug extremely addictive.
Then those field operators will take the fentanyl off, and that thing causes the abstinence syndrome what causes hate in the mind of users. If those people are affected by the infrasound loudspeakers, what is used in some psychological operations, that can cause rebellion in that mercenary team.
This kind of method was tested in the Vietnam War, where the Fairchild AU-23 "Peacemaker"(3) aircraft were equipped with the infra-sound base special propaganda equipment. This kind of methodology could be used in the "Phoenix program"(4), but the effect of that kind of method is no evidence, or there is no proof that this kind of thing was used at least in large-scale operations.
The fentanyl is an effective tool in the hands of interrogation officers. At the first targeted person would be addicted to the fentanyl or some other drug. Then suddenly those drugs will be removed, and the abstinence syndrome will force the targeted person to talk.
