Näkymätön mies ja näkymätön nainen

Kesälomalla moni miettii sitä, mikä se oma rooli työpaikalla oikeastaan olisi? Vai pitäisikö sittenkin vaihtaa työpaikkaa, ammattia tai molempia? Joskus mietin sitä että jos  omat ja oman esimiehen näkemykset ovat kovin erilaisia, niin olisiko parempi olla näkymätön mies, ja istua aina hiljaa, kuten psykologi Hanna Poskiparta neuvoo, ja ehkä se joskus on oikeasti parempi vaihtoehto. Mutta jos ihminen kovin paljon on sitten näkymättömissä, niin silloin hän varmasti saa kokea sen, että hän ei kovin montaa kertaa saa ylennyksiä työelämässä. Hiljainen henkilö joutuu muihin nähden usein sosiaalisen hyväksikäytön kohteeksi, missä hänen esittämiään ajatuksia varastetaan sekä esitetään jonkun muun ideoina. 

Tällaisessa tapauksessa saattaa ryhmätyössä käydä niin, että hiljainen henkilö tekee yksin kaikki työt, ja muut vain keskustelevat omista asioistaan. Sen jälkeen nämä muut menevät ja esittävät että tuo hiljainen puurtaja vain luki Iltalehteä, ja he tekivät kaiken työn. Tuollaista tapahtuu joskus sekä työelämässä sekä myös koulumaailmassa. 

Eikä näkymättömyys ole se asia, millä omaa sosiaalista sekä vuorovaikutteista osaamista sekä vaikutusvaltaa kehitetään. Tai ainakaan en ole koskaan kuullut siitä, että “hiljainen hissukka” saa kovin montaa kertaa kokea olevansa se, josta tehdään suuria pomoja, joten sen takia olisi ehkä parempi aina välillä tuoda niitä omiakin ajatuksia johonkin keskusteluun, varsinkin jos tämä keskustelu on aamupalaveri. 

Näkymätön mies ja näkymätön nainen ovat niitä ihmisiä, joiden voimavarat sekä osaaminen jäävät usein huomaamatta, koska he eivät uskalla tuoda omia ajatuksiaan palavereihin. Ja sen takia heidän ehkä erittäin hyvät ideansa jäävät hyödyntämättä. Jos ihminen on hiljainen, niin silloin häntä voidaan kohdella kuten avaamatonta lipastoa, mistä saattaa löytyä mitä upeimpia ajatuksia, jos hän vain toisi ne ajatuksensa kaikkien tietoon. Eli ihmistä voidaan kannustaa sanomaan tai kirjoittamaan asioita, joissa hänen pitäisi olla hyvä. Ja tuolloin pitää asiat esittää niin, että tuo hiljainen henkilö esittää ne itse. 

Joku asia ihmisen menneisyydessä on tehnyt hänestä hiljaisen. Ja ehkä tuo hiljaisuus on peräisin jostain kokemuksesta, missä tuollaisen henkilön omat ajatukset on ikään kuin varastettu. Toisen ajatusten olivat ne ääneen puhuttuja tai kirjoitettuja on asia, mitä kutsutaan plagioinniksi. Ja jos esitämme ajatuksemme vain jollekin kaverille, niin silloin me voimme kokea sen, että meidän loistavat ajatuksemme varastetaan, ja ne auttavat jonkun muun uraa.
