The key element in a democracy is independent media. But otherwise, media is an ultimate tool in the hands of the governments. Here we must realize, that the world is full of people, who want to read the truth if the truth serves their purposes. So the words and speech are free if that thing is supporting those people. 

What is the most effective target of terror? Rich and powerful people who are working in the inner circle of political actors have great value for politics. And as Lenin said: "the purpose of terror is terrorizing". So if the terrorizing would target to powerful people, that will bring more effect to terror. 

Media is an effective tool in the hands of the government, especially in cases that other people would not know that the media is working under the control of the government. When we are thinking things like conspiracy theories, we must face that some of them are targeted against the head of states, because some people want to close the social media. 

When we see the conspiracy theories about satanism and the pedophilia, what happens under the protection of the political elite, we must realize that this kind of action might have one attempt. To close some social media services. When some people are given pieces of advice in information operations they are saying, strike to head or balls, if you want to make the result. And the right persons, who would like to target are members of parliament or people, who have political value. That makes the propaganda even more effective than we ever thought. So social media can be used for making good or bad things. But the problem with social media is freedom. The most effective way to destroy freedom is to use it the wrong way. Many people want to close social media, and some of those people are not the head of the state. Many people would not want those other people will know, what they are paying to their employees. And many people will not want other people to know, where they are putting their highly toxic waste.
