The organization can be acting like a robot. 

Every company in the world is somehow self-controlling. That means that when customers order a product the customer would not stand to watch the work process. The thing, that a self-controlling system or organization must do is to find errors of the product independently and fixing them. Without that ability self-controlling system can make a very long series of defective products. 

Self-controlling organizations and self-controlling robots have one common thing. Normally those things don't need control or leaders when they are doing their operations, but when something is going wrong, fixing that situation would need very much work or solving the problem requires mode sophisticated skills than the intensive controlled system. When we are talking about self-controlling robots many times people are thinking, that the work of robots must not control or follow what they are doing. And this is the thing, what causes very much material loss. 

The action of the robot has based the programming, which can be the CAD-drawing of the product. The robot which makes merchandise straight from the CAD drawing is called CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing). In the robot factory controller of the process is the boss for robots. 

In the future, those controllers can have human-looking robots, which they can use in factories because that thing would be safer and the process must not stop whenever some robot needs repair. And the repairer can operate by using this kind of "external-body". For the firm in the place of the program is the order, what it should deliver to the customer.  

And the robot is the model of self-controlling organization. When the order is given to the firm, the organization would take that thing in, and then make the product and deliver it to the customer. In this case, the order is working as the same role as the computer program in the single robot, and the thing is that the firm is the organization, what makes the product, and in the organization can work humans, there can work robots and there can work both humans and robots. The organizations are also systems, where are instructions, how the merchandise and material must be handle, and how it must transport and store. 

When the material is moving in the organization and workspace, the movements of the material must move smoothly and without errors in that place. So when the organization is working at it should, there is not very much work. But if something goes wrong, fixing that error is a complicated mission, especially when abnormal action has been continued a while. 

So the boss or controller of the process must follow what is going on in the process and fix the error immediately. There has been someday asked about the thing, why every organization is not self-controlling? The answer is that persons, who are working in self-controlling organizations would need more training, than persons who are working in the organizations, which are intensively controlled. 

If a self-controlling system is made properly, that thing could save the time of the leaders. But if that thing is made wrong the result is the worst catastrophe ever. And if the self-controlling system is working, the instructions of the work must be clear. The workers are they humans or robots are needed the precise drawings and other things, for making the proper work.
