Elon Musk has power on Twitter. And that means he can put that service away if he wants. But did Musk buy Twitter just to disband that service? In real life, we all could make that thing if we have enough money. This is an interesting question.
Twitter is an old-fashion, over-aged but same time so powerful tool. And if we are thinking about business, the purpose of the product is also to please the users. So, users must get what users want. Or there are no users in the channel.
The difference between state and private industry is that private industry is made to bring profits to the owner's pockets. And that means the only thing that matters in business is money. In states, the decision-makers must think about what is best for people. But in private business, the only thing that means is the money that service brings to owners.
From the perspective of the media channel, the important thing is the commercials or people who are willing to pay for the program. And the makers of commercials want that people are looking at them. The thing that brings money to their pockets is the commercials.
Or actually, the thing that those people are always following is the purchase transactions. If some commercials are not increasing purchase transactions. The money that is put into them is gone without positive cash flow means that the money and time that is put into them is just a waste of time and money.
Of course, people can buy services and put them away. But the problem is that this kind of thing requires money. The purpose of the channel is to bring money to their owners. And even if the owner wants to put the channel away and start to create some new service users must find that new service. And then they must like it and start to use it.
When we are talking about the services, which are free for private users. We are sometimes talking about the "toilette walls". But there is another point about that kind of service.
They get their capital from commercials. And all social media applications require money at least for their servers and moderators. Of course, payments can increase the level of discussions. But then the number of users will decrease.
And who will pay for Twitter? The fact is that the low number of users requires very high payments. The focus of commercials is on the masses. And commercial services require some kind of source of income for paying their electric bills.
