The magnetic sling
The magnetic sling is actually the magnet, what would stand in the trajectory of ammunition. The idea of this equipment is similar to the gravity sling, and it works in the same way. The cannon shoots the ammunition in a certain angle against the very powerful magnet.
In the magnetic sling, that magnet would turn the ammunition to the paraboloid trajectory. In this case, the high power magnet would act as a planet and the thing is that there must not make any changes for the cannons. The magnet itself is like some statue in the trajectory, what the ammunition will fly, and it would give extra punch for that thing when it flies through it
The magnetic sling is different than the railgun because the magnet is totally separated from the other systems. And the sharpness of the system depends on the computers ability to calculate the parabolic trajectories.
The thing in this system is that the computer calculates the trajectories of the ammunition using similar programs, what NASA uses when it calculates the tracks for the space probes. So is one of the purposes of those probes to test the computer programs, what are used in this kind of systems.
